Using noise protection during eclipse
We have a solar eclipse coming up on April 8th and while it is prudent to not look at the eclipse and/or use proper eye care, I want to make sure that everyone is aware of the potential for hearing damage as well. Experts have warned many times of the extreme noise associated with blockage of the suns rays and I STRONGLY encourage anyone attempting to view the eclipse to wear OSHA approved ear protecting, or just go to your basement and hide. Alternatively, using large large pillows or bread (toast is preferred) to cover your ears can work as long as you align yourself perpendicular to the sun. (April 1, 2024)
