Many “good neighbor” policies incorporate enclosures of loud or continuously operating HVAC compressors and the like to mitigate high, medium and low frequency noises. Solution can be as simple as a chain link fence with exterior rated absorber/barrier materials. Other times, self-standing PVC or even steel barriers can be used to both absorb and block noise transmissions to nearby or far away receivers.
